I am beginning to wonder if we have a President or a Puppet. I am reminded of the silly childhood banter, ‘Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.’ The point was, if someone called you a dummy, a turdhead, stupid, etc., it would bounce off of you and stick to the name-caller.
Our President, or puppet, appears to cause all blame to bounce off him and stick to the accuser. Obama knows nothing about Benghazi, nothing about the IRS scandal and nothing about the two brothers who bombed the Marathon. It would seem that Obama is either a face puppet who isn’t told anything (he is just the face of the presidency), he is a moron or he just doesn’t care enough to know what is going on in the world.

His many vacations make it appear that he just doesn’t care what goes on in the world. After all, you only get to be President twice. Why not milk it for all it’s worth? I think the truth is that Obama knows exactly what he is doing. He just doesn’t want us to know what he is up to. He has big plans and he won’t let anything get in the way.

I have never seen a President get away with so much. Let’s impeach him and put him out of our misery. He can have the last laugh, just make sure it is the last.

MY ACCEPTANCE SPEECH

I am flattered to have received another award, however undeserving it may be. Michael is a fine man of God, grounded in the wisdom of God and very professional. That he thought I deserved this award is an award in itself. For those unfamiliar with Michael’s blog, he explores scripture and gleans the wisdom of God’s Word to use in his own life. Readers will be inspired and find help in their own Christian Walk. Please check out his blog at http://justmikemon.wordpress.com.

Now, I am to entertain and inspire you. Did you know that milk can ease the pain of sunburn? It contains an anti-inflammatory that keeps the swelling down and soothes the skin. Once, when I was in my early twenties, I stayed out in the sun all day and cooked myself. I couldn’t even bear the weight of my clothes touching me. I would bathe myself in Aloe Vera gel and lie on top of the sheet most of the day. After the second day, I was able to get dressed and function quite well. Whatever kind of burn you get, use Aloe Vera immediately. If you do, there will be no scarring.

Between Two Worlds

The wild life calls to Andy.

The wild life calls to Andy.

Amos and Andy take a nap.

Amos and Andy take a nap.

I sit and hold Andy in my arms as if he were a tiny baby. I started holding him this way when he was about four weeks old, except that he fit in my hand at the time. I have always called him my kitty baby. There is nothing on earth as touching as a tiny, frightened kitten who finally allows himself to be coaxed into your hand, then offers a huge sigh of contentment upon having his belly rubbed. This is an animal that has given a human his trust, completely and without reservation.

My Andy grew into a fine cat who still loves to lie in my arms the way a human baby would lay.  Andy holds his head back so I can easily access the soft, downy fur under his chin. As I gently massage Andy, I look at him intently. He appears to be just as content as he was when I finally convinced him to let me be his surrogate mama. I am holding back tears that will flow after he leaves me.

Andy has always had the freedom to roam the land. He will sleep with me until 3:00 a.m. every morning, then ask to go out so he can be with his feline friends and do the sort of things cats do at night. When his brother died, Andy looked for him for so long that I feared he would never get past the hurt and loneliness. Finally, one morning, Andy did not stop at the door and wait for his brother to enter the house first.

Andy has found a female friend with which he has made a family. I know, cats don’t usually find a mate and stay with her and their kittens. Andy is different. He strongly leans toward the DNA that was written for his ancestors, where the Lion king stays with his pride. He is a good daddy, a strong protector.

Right now, Andy is between two worlds. When he leaves me, he starts to yearn for the touch of my human hand on his head as I stroke him. Yet, when he is with me, he feels a strong pull to go back to his family. In the beginning, he would stay with me for several days, then return to his pride. Now, he comes for a quick meal and an hour in my arms. Then, Andy returns to the wild for a week or more.

I can tell that my Andy is torn between two worlds. He loves his mama, but he needs his independence. Just as human boys grow up and leave mama, Andy is trying to make the break. I can’t tell him that it is okay or that cats are supposed to be wild. Nor can I tell him that I will always be here whenever he feels like visiting. I wish our communication was that sophisticated, but it isn’t. Andy will have to trust that I will always be here and that he is free to live his life as he chooses.

Andy feels as if he is deserting me, but he is only doing what comes natural for cats. As long as he is happy, I will not worry. I stroke his soft fur as he sleeps. Andy sighs. I can’t hold back the tears. I raised him as I would a child. Have I confused him terribly? I can only hope that I have done no harm. I raised him the only way I knew how, with perfect love.

Always Read the label

My tag-line says, “Always read the label.” You might be surprised by reading the list of ingredients. Not just on food items, either. If the list on food is mostly words you couldn’t pronounce with a doctorate in chemistry, chances are, you don’t really want to eat that food. For now, let’s talk about over-the-counter medicines and household cleaners.

Do you remember when non-steroid anti-inflammatory medicines were all the rage in treating everything from migraines to arthritis? The main ingredient is ibuprofen. There are brand name medicines with this ingredient and there are generics that just contain ibuprofen. I was in my local pharmacy recently when a lady around my age was standing next to me, looking for Motrin. I handed her a bottle of ibuprofen and a bottle of Motrin. I asked her to read the labels. Motrin was priced at $11.95 for 30 pills. The generic brand was $1.99 for 45 pills. Same medicine, should be same price, right? No, big brand names still think they have to pay for all that advertising. Many people believe they are getting a superior product if they pay more. Not so. The pills in each bottle were exactly the same.

Whenever I hear of a diet aid that absolutely works or a new product that cleans better than anything I’ve ever used before, I always find out what the active ingredient is. Then I look for a non-brand product with that ingredient. It is always the cheaper product and, if it works at all, it works just as well as a generic as it does when a big corporation produces the product.

Doing a little homework is always worth the time. I had a wart on one of my fingers a while back. I went to the store to buy something that would safely remove the wart. I picked up the leading brand name product and read the label. Salicylic acid was the only ingredient. It came in a tiny .045 fluid-ounce bottle. I found a 6-ounce bottle of salicylic soap for $4.00. The name brand item $9.95. The wart was gone in three days.

Whatever new product comes out, whether it is something to help you lose weight or something that will clean your house all by itself, read the label. Find the active ingredients, then find a non-brand product that contains the active ingredients. Compare the costs. Buy the least expensive. I promise, the generic will work just as well, even if they didn’t put it in a pretty box with a cute logo.

It is just using common knowledge to get what you need and pay the least amount possible. I have shown people in stores how they can save $10, $20 or more dollars by buying generic and they still buy the brands from big corporations that suck up all the tax breaks and become billionaires.

Times are hard now, but we haven’t seen anything yet. The cost of food, medicines and other essentials, such as personal grooming aids and household cleaners and detergents will soon be priced out of the average person’s budget. Look for cheaper versions that will do the same thing at a fraction of the cost.

Always, always, always, read the label. Know what it is you are paying for. No one has ever complained about saving money.

Illegal Mexicans Receive Food Stamps Paid for by Americans

In the Daily Mail, this article leaps off the page:

A Spanish-language leaflet that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has provided to the Mexican Embassy in Washington advises border-crossing Mexicans that they can collect taxpayer-funded food stamp benefits for their children without admitting that they’re illegal immigrants.

Underlined and in boldface type, the document tells immigrants who are unlawfully in the United States that, ‘You need not divulge information regarding your immigration status in seeking this benefit for your children.’

The USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, is funded in order to prevent hunger by helping poor families maintain a basic level of nutrition for both adults and children.

While this may not seem like much to some people, it means that an estimated 15 to 20 million Mexican citizens are living in America, paying no taxes, sending money back to Mexico and claiming their children – most of whom live in Mexico with grandparents – as dependents so they can receive the maximum amount of food stamps allowed under the law.

Who pays for this food? American citizens, who can’t receive food stamps because they make $25 dollars a month too much to qualify, pay for the food stamps.

So, let’s break this down. An American family, where the mother and father both work, but earn just a little over minimum wage, don’t qualify for food stamps. They need help providing for their two children because their wages aren’t enough to pay rent, auto insurance, utilities, clothes for the children, gas for the car and buy food. However, their taxes pay for a family living in America illegally. A man and woman with two children living in America, with six more children living in Mexico, receives food stamps for eight children and themselves. These food stamps were paid for by the young couple with two children, who are American citizens.

I believe in helping your fellow man. I don’t believe Americans should be paying to feed Mexicans while the Americans go without food and struggle to keep a roof over their heads. The Mexicans are working, don’t have to pay taxes, send money to Mexico and will retire to Mexico where American dollars will stretch  further.

Mexicans are pulling a scam with the help of the American government. Americans need to stand up and scream, “This is bullshit and I am not playing this game anymore.” Our government steals our money and spends it however it deems fit. We are crazy for allowing this to happen now that we have become aware.

Nobody wants to talk about the fact that there will soon be more freeloaders than there are workers to support them. Americans have become so burdened with the debt of others that they are just before collapsing. One wonders, ” Will the rats hang on until the last American is dead, or will they jump ship and go home to Mexico?”

I would like to thank everyone who had enough faith in me to follow my blog. I love to entertain, but I also love to inform people about those who are taking advantage of us. Sometimes, it is our governments and often it is the big corporations who make money by deceiving us all.

I have made some truly wonderful friends since I have been blogging. This would not be possible without the world of the Internet.

These people are among the best bloggers, although all that I follow are amazing. I love them all!

Who is educating your child?

English: People with Asperger's Syndrome are o...

A program with John Stossel tonight about education make me queasy. It seems that Teachers’ Unions, school boards and the federal government are all sleeping in one giant bed these days and the cost of keeping the bed warm and cozy is unimaginable. Actually, it isn’t the cost that bothers me nearly as much as the fact that no child is receiving the education he/she was promised.

A failing school within a school district receives more money, none of which anyone knows how to manage, to produce less-educated kids. If a charter school within a district is doing a super job with less money per student, it make the bad schools with more money per student look even worse. They can’t have this. So, what do they do? They close the charter school who was graduating 100 percent of the senior classes, of whom all were accepted at four-year colleges. Many of the students finished the four-year colleges in three years. This is the school they chose to close, not the failing schools.

Am I still living in America? I think I may have drifted to another planet while I was sleeping one night. We give more money to schools that are bankrupt, graduating less students, three-fourths of whom can’t read beyond a fifth-grade level, and close the schools that are graduating all of their students who read on a college level. Am I the only one who sees the stupidity of this scenario?

The sad truth is this: If you aren’t educating your own children, they probably aren’t receiving an education. I have two gifted children. One child has Asperger Syndrome. This is a form of Autism. My son did not socialize outside of our family. It was part of his identity as a child with Asperger’s. This drove his teachers crazy. I received notes daily that said: “Ms. Stanley, We feel your son would benefit from testing to better place him according to his abilities.” Read: Test him for special education.

At the end of his seventh-grade year, I paid a psychologist to test my son. He was gifted, just as I had known. I took his test with his I.Q. to his teachers. I told them, “Since my son is more intelligent than all five of you combined, I think I will take him out of public school and teach him at home myself.”

My son graduated ahead of his class and has received three degrees, so far. I told you this story to say, If you want your child to receive an education, teach him yourself. Most teachers are too lazy to find the way your child learns. I can say this because I have taught school. My daughter teaches school. We put our hearts and soul into teaching. We’ve had to work with teachers who were there for the paycheck and the summer vacations.

Find out what level your child is reading at. Ask your child some questions that children his age should be able to answer. Ask what your child is learning at school. Are the teachers spending a week teaching that two moms or two dads is just as good as one mom and a dad? If they are, they aren’t teaching your child how to make change for a dollar.

No matter what country you live in, be a part of your child’s education. America is slowly going under and taking the best and brightest children with her. Keep your foot on the back of someone’s neck until you find out why your child isn’t being taught how to read on grade level. Make sure your child is ready to graduate and move on to college.

What if God needed a friend?

God the Father 05

God the Father 05 (Photo credit: Waiting For The Word)

This was posted to my Facebook page from Friendship Fortune Cookie:

You have a great friend who is always there when you are down and is always there to listen to your problems. Make sure you treat your friends the same way.

God is my best friend. What would He tell me if He told me about His problems? Would these subjects be mentioned if God just needed to vent? Homosexuality, immorality, adultery, idolatry, greed, stinginess, abortion, deceit and pride…

Would God just need someone to listen to the things He has to put up with? Not that God has to put up with anything, He just does. God doesn’t zap us dead when we disobey because He has hope that we will change and besides, if He zapped people dead every time they disobey, there would be no one left to talk to by the end of the week.

Another reason God doesn’t kill us the second we disobey is because of this scenario: A person tells a lie, God zaps them dead instantly and everyone else obeys out of tremendous fear. They would worship God out of fear also. This isn’t what God wants. Do you want your children to obey you because they saw what happened to Sally when she lied about her bad grade in math?

God is more like us than we realize. We are created in His image, making us similar to Him. All the things we love about life, God loves also. He loves the brilliant sunsets, the fragrance of lilacs after the rain, a walk along the beach with the warmth of the sun on His back and the scent of lemons in the lemonade.

He doesn’t have a physical body, you say? Sure He does, He lives in the body He gave you and the one He gave me. We are intertwined, God and I. He always lives up to His side of the covenant, but I let Him down quite a lot.

If I could God one thing, I would give Him my ears so He could tell me how disappointed He is in all of us. I would listen as He cried in despair when He talked about abortion and the divorce rate. I would lend Him my shoulder to lend on as He spoke about the sorry state of government and the state of churches that are putting their seal of approval on all manner of sin.

You know, I think I can give Him that. I believe I can hear Him talking about these things now and asking me, “Do you feel the pain of all this sin, as I do?” God is asking us, “Are you as disgusted as I am? Are you ready for the new world order that Christ is bringing with Himself?”

Listen. If you get still and listen, you can hear the sadness in the heart of God. Talk with God and share your day, but listen to Him when you have finished. After all, that is what friends do for each other.

Little Common Sense

Largest Bankruptcies

Largest Bankruptcies (Photo credit: Adam Crowe)

English: the log of the political part the com...

English: the log of the political part the common sense party (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

There is little-to-no common sense in the world, by and large, anymore.  The US government makes and passes laws that people can’t comply with because industry is told they must use a particular additive in all gasoline or pay a heavy fine. Because the additive does not exist and no one knows how to create it, the industry must pay the fines and go bankrupt. Who passes a law knowing it is physically impossible to obey? Who wants particular companies or industries to go bankrupt and need a government bailout? Makes you wonder, right?

Washington has no sense at all. We have a man acting as President when we have proof that he is not a citizen of America. What are our Congress and Senators doing about it? Nothing. Obamacare can’t be implemented because it costs too much. Obama doesn’t care. He just wants to destroy what is working and turn it into a situation where millions will die.

There is no common sense in the world. People are stealing, knowing they will be caught eventually. Greed has taken hold like a Pin worm in the intestines. Greed is blinding men and women to the truth, which is, all sin must be punished. Men are cheating on their wives and children, caring not that the affair can destroy the family and deeply hurt the children.

No one appears to care about the greater good of the earth. There are industries polluting the water, food supply and the land. No one is responsible, it seems. Corruption in the school systems, corruption in police departments, lies and hidden truths in every relationship.

Now, there are teachers and principals cheating on mandatory tests so they can earn bonuses for their schools and themselves. The children were left to sink or swim on their own. Hundreds of children from that school system can’t read and write because greed got in the way of their education.

People have becomes so entangled with the things of this world and greed is eating them like a cancer. They can’t see how they are destroying themselves and the planet we live on. Americans appear to be asleep, little realizing what Obama is doing to the freedoms we once had.

No one thinks about how his or her actions affect the future. There is nothing done that does not have a consequence. God doesn’t even have to punish us, we are doing a good job of it ourselves.

Where is the common sense? My mother would tell me as I was growing up, “You have to have common sense. Nothing you will learn from a book will help you in life if you don’t know how to use the knowledge.” News articles point out the fact that no one in charge has or is using common sense. This is scarier than a basket of snakes. Or, am I talking about the same thing?

Watch, listen and always read the label. You will find that common sense has disappeared. Lord help us all.

Secret government documents reveal vaccines to be a total hoax

(NaturalNews) If you have children, you are more than likely already aware of the official U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) "Immunization Schedules," which today recommend an astounding 29 vaccines be given between birth and six years of age, including yearly flu shots, as well as another five to 16 vaccines between ages seven and 18 (http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/).

This is a courageous article about the cover up of dangerous vaccines. There is pure evil and greed in the companies who manufacture vaccines, knowing putting infants and children at risk. Everyone should read this.
